Shinney Captures CNE Player Of The Week

BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott women's basketball sophomore guard Emma Shinney (Wakefield, Mass.) has been named the Conference of New England's (CNE) Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

Shinney shined in Endicott's 2-0 week (1-0 CNE) with wins over Suffolk and Salem State. The sophomore guard scored a team-high 40 points, shot 50% from the field (14-28 FG, 2-4 3PT, 10-13 FT), snagged 18 rebounds, dished out six assists, swiped three steals, and rejected a shot in the two game stretch.

In a 70-60 CNE victory over Suffolk on Tuesday, Shinney tied a career-high with a 25-point performance (9-15 FG, 1-1 3PT, 6-8 FT). She also supplied 11 boards, three assists, two thefts, and a block in the conference win.

She followed up her impressive performance with a 15-point, seven-rebound,  three-assist outing on Saturday in a 72-64 home win over Salem State.

This marks her first career CNE Player of the Week award.

Endicott (6-3, 3-0 CNE) travels to MIT on December 30 for a 2 PM tipoff.
