BEVERLY, Mass. — Two members of the Endicott women's basketball team have earned Conference of New England (CNE) weekly awards, as announced by the league office on Monday.
The duo of Sarah Dempsey (Windham, N.H.) and Tricia Wladkowski (Norwood. Mass.) took home Player and Rookie of the Week accolades, respectively.
In a 2-0 week for the Gulls, Dempsey averaged a double-double with 16 points per game (80.0 FG%) and 10.0 rebounds, along with 2.5 assists, and 2.5 steals.
In Wednesday's victory over Nichols, Dempsey had 18 points (87.5 FG%), six rebounds, and four assists. As Endicott built its 30-point halftime lead, the senior had 10 points and four rebounds.
Dempsey secured her third double-double of the season in the Gulls win over Gordon, as she scored 14 points (71.4 FG%) and grabbed 14 rebounds to go with four steals.
In a 2-0 week for the Gulls, Wladkowski compiled 17 points (8.5 per game; 70.0 FG%) and 10 rebounds (5.0 per game).
Wladkowski poured in a career-high 15 points on 7-of-9 shooting from the floor (77.8 FG%, 1-1 FT). The freshaman added five rebounds and two blocks in the contest.
