BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott women's basketball sophomore forward Sarah Dempsey (Windham, N.H.) has earned Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Player of the Week accolades, as announced by the league office earlier today.
Dempsey averaged a double-double (13.0 PPG, 14. RPG) for Endicott last week as the Gulls went 1-1 in CCC action behind her dominant play.
Dempsey's top performance came in a road win against Nichols (1/10) in which she scored 16 points and grabbed a career-high 20 rebounds. The rebound total is tied for the second-most all-time in program history. She also played a key role late in the 73-70 win, knocking down three free throws down the stretch.
Later in the week, Dempsey barely missed out on recording another double-double with 10 points and nine rebounds against Roger Williams.
In addition to her scoring and rebounding numbers, Dempsey was a force defensively averaging 3.0 blocks per game.
This is Dempsey's second career CCC Player of the Week award (1/17/23).
