BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott women's basketball team defeated Wentworth, 77-52, in conference action on Saturday afternoon at MacDonald Gymnasium.
Sarah Dempsey (Windham, N.H.) filled the stat sheet with a game-high 16 points (7-10 FG, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, six blocks, two assists, and one steal.
Cassie Caldwell (Marshfield, Mass.) and Tara Laugeni (Woodbridge, Conn.) also poured in 14 and 11 points, respectively, in the win.
Libby Fleming (Bangor, Maine) led all student-athletes with 11 rebounds, while Taylor Bogdanski (Saugus, Mass.) contributed eight points, five assists, and three rebounds in 18 minutes off the bench to round out the list of individual highlights.
The Gulls raced out to a 36-18 advantage at halftime and were never threatened for the remainder of the contest.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Endicott is 35-3 all-time against Wentworth.
- The Gulls have won 13 straight in the series dating back to 1/14/16.
- Endicott led by as many as 25 points in the contest (final score).
- The Gulls capitalized on a 26-17 differential in second chance points.
