KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Endicott men's soccer junior midfielder Tim Lynch (Groton, Conn.) has been named to the United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-America Second Team, as announced by the organization on Friday afternoon.
A junior sport management major, Lynch currently boasts a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.86.
Of the nearly 13,500 student-athletes across Division III, Lynch is one of just 33 named to a United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-America Team. He is the only student-athlete from the Conference of New England (CNE) to have been selected, and one of two student-athletes representing Region II.
The 2024 CNE Defensive Player of the Year and All-Region II Second Team selection started in all 19 games for the Blue and Green, having played the full 90 minutes on nine occasions.
Lynch established himself as an integral part of the Gulls' hard-nose team identity, as opponents often had a difficult time moving the ball through the midfield with him patrolling the area.
His efforts on the defensive side of the ball led to a league-best 16 goals against the Blue and Green this season, and a whopping 10 shutouts as well.
Lynch's postseason honors this fall included CNE Defensive Player of the Year, All-Region II Second Team, and All-CNE First Team.
UNITED SOCCER COACHES SCHOLAR ALL-EAST REGION SECOND TEAM
In addition to his Scholar All-American honors, Lynch was also named as a member of the Scholar All-East Region Second Team. Accompanying him on the second team was CNE Scholar-Athlete of the Year, graduate back Hayden Laske (Wethersfield, Conn.), who boasts a GPA of 3.90.
To be eligible for selection, a student-athlete must be nominated by their head coach and meet the following criteria:
- Plays for a current United Soccer Coaches College services member
- Be a junior or above in athletic standing at their current institution
- Be in their second year at the current institution if a transfer student
- Have at least a 3.40 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) throughout their career(s)

- Player meets the highest standards of ethics and sportsmanship as confirmed by their coach on the nomination form
