Men's Soccer Falls To Coast Guard, 2-0

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott men's soccer team fell to Coast Guard, 2-0 on Saturday afternoon at Hempstead Stadium.

The Gulls were able to outshoot the Bears by a total of 14-9 (5-2 on net), but the Bears' 58th-minute and 89th-minute goals were the winners.

Conor Rooney (Monroe, Conn.) led the offensive attack for Endicott with three shots (two on goal), while Codan Foley (Carver, Mass.)Max Karkos (Wethersfield, Conn.)Tim Lynch (Groton, Conn.), and Aidan Sheehan (Arlington, Mass.) all added two shots.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • The Gulls are now 1-2-2 versus Coast Guard all-time.
  • Six members of the starting 11 played all 90 minutes.
  • Matheus Moreno (Danvers, Mass.) made his first career start.
  • Peyton Luther (Ledyard, Conn.) and Jake Pezza (North Kingstown, R.I.) made their collegiate debuts tonight.

Endicott (0-1-1) welcomes Keene State to Hempstead Stadium on Saturday, September 7 at 1 PM. Coast Guard (2-0-0) travels to Mitchell College on Thursday, September 5 at 4 PM.
