CNE RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott men's soccer junior midfielder Conor Rooney (Monroe, Conn.) and freshman goalkeeper Brady O'Toole (Concord, Mass.) have been named the Conference of New England's (CNE) Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week (respectively), as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

CONOR ROONEY | OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Rooney guided the Gulls offense to a successful 2-0-0 week (2-0-0 CNE) with wins against Suffolk (1-0) and Nichols (5-1). The junior notched three goals on seven shots  over the two game span.

In Tuesday's nailbiter 1-0 victory at Suffolk, Rooney controlled the midfield for the full 90 minutes.

On Saturday, he provided quite the offensive boost for the Blue and Green as he logged his first career hat trick in the 5-1 victory. His first goal of the contest turned out to be the game-winner (40:53) against the Bison.

His impressive offensive play aided the Gulls in clinching the top seed in this season's CNE Tournament following Saturday's win.

This marks Rooney's first career CNE Offensive Player of the Week award.

BRADY O'TOOLE | DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

O'Toole's lockdown play in net led Endicott to a 2-0-0 conference week against Suffolk (1-0) and Nichols (5-1).

The freshman keeper did not allow a goal in either game, pitching a shutout against Suffolk (three saves) before turning in 70:17 of scoreless action against Nichols (one save).

His four-save week brought his record up to 9-1-1 in his freshman campaign.

This is his second career CNE Defensive Player of the Week award (10/14/24).
