Frazao Earns College Sports Communicators Academic All-American First Team Nod

CSC RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott men's soccer graduate midfielder Tiago Frazao (Trumbull, Conn.) has received College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-American First Team Honors, as announced by the organization this afternoon.

The College Sports Communicators Academic All-America® Program, formerly named CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America), has honored more than 40,000 student-athletes since 1952 with the prestigious title of Academic All-American for their outstanding academic and athletic achievements.

To be eligible for the award, student-athletes must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) and compete in 90 percent of the institution's games/contests/sets played OR must start in at least 66 percent of the games/contests/sets.

Across Division I, II, III, and NAIA, there are around 45,000 men's soccer student-athletes competing in the sport.

Frazao is just one of 126 student-athletes from that pool to receive the title of Academic All-American, as voted on by CSC members this year.

Additionally, he is one of just nine men's soccer Division III student-athletes to earn repeat Academic All-American honors (Third Team, 2023).

The Trumbull, Conn. native is the only member of the Conference of New England (CNE) and just one of four from New England to earn Division III Academic All-America honors.

He is the first Endicott men's soccer student-athlete to be named a two-time CSC Academic All-American. He is also just the second first-teamer in program history (Gregory Capece '12) and the fourth overall in Endicott Athletics history.

ACADEMIC RESUME

Frazao is currently working towards his Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in real estate following his graduation as an international business major with a minor in Spanish this past May.

His real estate coursework includes Real Estate Leasing & Transactions, Real Estate Investment Analysis & Valuation, Property Management, and Real Estate Finance and Capital Markets.

He boasts a grade-point average (GPA) of 3.94 in the Master's program, and graduated with a 3.93 through his undergraduate studies.

While at Endicott, Frazao has completed two finance internships at Barnum Financial Group and one rotational internship (project management & estimating) at Windover Construction.

Most recently with Windover Construction as a senior this past spring, Tiago completed a comprehensive rotational internship program, where he gained invaluable experience in estimating and project management operation with one of the premier General Contractors in the North Shore area.

In 2022 with Barnum Financial Group, he was mentored by a Certified Financial Planner to learn the day-to-day operations of the position. During his time with the company, he captured first place in the program's "Shark Tank" competition thanks to his pitch on reviving the company's social media campaign via short-form video content popularized by TikTok and Instagram Reels.

His senior thesis, which explored Airbnb's Impact on Barcelona's Housing Market, was awarded as a top five presentation in the Curtis L. Gerrish School of Business.

Other impressive feats throughout his magnificent collegiate career include his involvement with EC Lead and LEAP For Education, as well as his devotion to the Big Brother Big Sister program in the North Shore region.

ATHLETIC RESUME

Frazao's athletic achievements on the field this season are equally as impressive.

The midfielder led the CNE with 11 goals and four game-winners, setting career-high marks in both categories.

He wrapped up his career as Endicott's second-leading goal scorer all-time with 29 tallies. He also ranks second in program history with his 71 career points.

His postseason honors this fall included CNE Offensive Player of the Year, All-CNE First Team, and All-Region II First Team.

Overall in his career, Frazao is a four-time All-Conference selection (3x 1st Team, 1x 3rd Team) and a three-time All-Region honoree (1x 1st Team, 2x 2nd Team).

YEAR IN REVIEW

Endicott posted a 12-5-2 overall record, which included a program-best 9-0-0 in league play.

The Gulls earned the No. 1 seed in the CNE Tournament, but were bested by Roger Williams in an epic CNE Semifinal overtime battle, 3-2, on November 6.
