BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott men's lacrosse student-athletes Craig Claflin (Natick, Mass.) and Andrew Fithian (Marshfield, Mass.) have earned postseason honors from the Intercollegiate Men's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IMLCA).
Fithian was named to the All-Region second team, while Claflin garnered All-Region honorable mention accolades.
This is Fithian's third career All-Region honor and Claflin's first.
ANDREW FITHIAN | GR. | D
In 15 games played, Fithian compiled 34 ground balls and 21 caused turnovers for the Gulls (10-6, 7-1 CCC).
His play also guided Endicott to a conference-best 8.84 goals against average (GAA).
Meanwhile, Fithian's career numbers include 134 ground balls and 113 caused turnovers in 68 games played.
He currently ranks third all-time in caused turnovers and caused turnovers per game, and eighth in games started (66).
Fithian's 2022 season also included USILA Preseason All-America Third Team honors, USILA All-America honorable mention laurels, Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) All-Conference First Team accolades, and New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) All-New England Preseason First Team honors.
CRAIG CLAFLIN | SR. | M
Claflin compiled 16 goals and 13 assists for 29 points, including nine multi-point contests, in 16 games played.
Claflin also scooped up 17 ground balls and caused one turnover, while aiding the Gulls to a .879 clear percentage (284-323).
For his efforts, Claflin landed a spot on the All-CCC First Team marking his second career postseason honor, at the time (2021, third team).
Claflin's career numbers include 50 points (32g, 18a) and 30 ground balls in 42 games played.
His single-game career highs include six points, three goals, five assists, and three ground balls.
YEAR IN REVIEW
Endicott finished with a 10-6 overall record and a 7-1 mark in CCC play en route to an appearance in the conference championship game.
