CCC CHAMPIONSHIP: No. 2 Endicott Falls To Rival No. 1 WNEU, 18-10

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — The second-seeded Endicott men's lacrosse team fell to first-seeded Western New England (WNE), 18-10, in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship on Saturday afternoon at Golden Bear Field. 

WNE jumped out to an early 7-0 lead over the Gulls and never looked back. 

Max Kesicki (Katonah, N.Y.) paced the Blue and Green with three tallies, while Nate Cuttitta (Williston, Vt.) found the back of the net twice to round out the list offensive highlights. 

In cage, Tim Luciano (Westport, Conn.) recorded seven saves (9-4). 

 BEYOND THE BOX SCORE 

  • WNE holds a 6-3 advantage over Endicott in their last nine championship meetings, and an 8-4 record versus the Gulls overall in the league title game.
  • The Golden Bears have won eight in a row and are 7-2 at home this year.
  • Endicott dropped to 3-3 on the road this season.

WHAT'S NEXT

Western New England (13-5) will earn the CCC's automatic bid into the NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse tournament. Endicott sees its season come to an end at 10-6.
