Men's Lacrosse Bests Curry, 11-6

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men's lacrosse team took down Curry, 11-6, in conference action on Wednesday evening at Hempstead Stadium. 

Tied 4-4 at the half, Nick Pagluiso (Shelton, Conn.) scored in transition with 6:08 to play in the third to propel the Gulls on a five-goal-scoring run (9-4).

From there, tallies via Michael Hauptman (Medfield, Mass.) and Domenic Russo (Northborough, Mass.) at the 9:09 and 1:06 marks of the fourth quarter, respectively, clinched the victory for the Gulls. 

Hauptman and Russo highlighted Endicott with a hat trick apiece, while Guerin Favreau (Woodstock Valley, Conn.) buried two of his own. 

Craig Claflin (Natick, Mass.), Nate Cuttitta (Williston, Vt.), and Nick Pagluiso (Shelton, Conn.) each found the back of the net once to highlight the rest of the Gulls' attack.

Defensively, James Loughran (Cos Cob, Conn.) collected four ground balls and caused two turnovers. 

Meanwhile, in goal, Tim Luciano (Westport, Conn.) recorded nine saves in the win (6-3).  

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Endicott is 28-2 in the all-time series versus Curry. 
  • Paglusio paced the Gulls with a game-high four assists (seven games w/ 3+ assists this season).
  • The Blue and Green did not allow a goal in the third quarter. 
  • Thomas Barker (Needham, Mass.) won 12-19 faceoffs while scooping up six ground balls.
