Conn. College Slips Past Men’s Lacrosse, 11-10 (OT)

NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Endicott men's lacrosse team fell to Connecticut College, 11-10, in overtime on Saturday evening at Silfen Field.

Michael Hauptman (Medfield, Mass.) led the Gulls offensively behind a career day in goals (4), assists (2), and points (6).

Max Kesicki (Katonah, N.Y.) also scored a career-high three goals, while Craig Claflin (Natick, Mass.), Nick Pagluiso (Shelton, Conn.), and Sam Abate (Beverly, Mass.) all scored solo tallies in the loss.

In goal, Christopher Tillotson (Monroe, Conn.) made 10 saves in the start (30:00) and Tim Luciano (Westport, Conn.) stopped nine shots over the final 30:30 of play (0-1).

Endicott led 10-8 late in the contest, but the Camels buried unassisted goals with 1:06 and 36-seconds remaining in regulation before finding the overtime winner at the 3:30 mark of the extra session.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Claflin also dished out a career-high five assists to finish the contest with a career-high six points.
  • Today's game featured three ties and three lead changes.
  • Both teams produced two 3-0 runs or better (4-0 run by Conn. College from 5:44 of second to 13:24 of third, 5-4 lead).
  • Conn. College is 4-3 in the all-time series.
  • The Gulls had won the previous two meetings (3/4/15, 12-6 | 3/5/14, 9-4).

Endicott (0-2) hosts Bowdoin on Wednesday, March 9 at 7 PM. Conn. College (1-0) visits Middlebury on Saturday, March 12 at 1 PM.
