CCC QUARTERFINALS: No. 3 Endicott Takes On No. 6 Salve Regina On Tuesday (7 PM)

BEVERLY, Mass. — The third-seeded Endicott women's basketball team (15-10) is set to host sixth-seeded Salve Regina (10-14) in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Tournament quarterfinals on Tuesday, February 22 at MacDonald Gymnasium (7 PM). Here's a preview of the playoff matchup.

FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • Endicott has qualified for the CCC Tournament for 19 straight seasons and enters the playoffs as the defending 2019 CCC Champion. 
  • The Seahawks hold a 19-18 advantage over the Gulls in the all-time series. 
  • Endicott split with Salve Regina in the regular season with a loss at home, 76-69, on December 4, but won as visitors, 74-52, on February 12.
  • Defensively, the Gulls are allowing 60.6 PPG (4th lowest in CCC), while the Seahawks give up an average of 67.3 PPG (8th of 10).
  • Tara Laugeni (Woodbridge, Conn.) leads the offensive output for Endicott averaging 16.4 PPG, while Morgan Shuey (Corning, Iowa) paces Salve at 12.9 PPG. 

WHAT'S NEXT

The winner between Endicott and Salve Regina will play the winner of No. 2 University of New England/No. 7 Western New England in the CCC Semifinals on Thursday, February 24 (time TBD).
