Suffolk Holds Off Women's Basketball On Senior Day, 58-51

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott women's basketball team fell to Suffolk, 58-51, in conference action on Senior Day at MacDonald Gymnasium.

Prior to the game, seniors Morgan Bresnahan (Wilmington, Mass.), Olivia Duncan (Essex Junction, Vt.), and Lexi Gellerman (West Hartford, Conn.) were all honored for their contributions to the women's basketball program and the Endicott College community. 

Katelyn Konareski (Milford, Conn.) highlighted the Gulls with a career-high 14 points (4-7 FG, 4-5 3PT, 2-2 FT). 

Meanwhile, Emily St. Thomas (Sterling, Mass.) and Tara Laugeni (Woodbridge, Conn.) also notched nine and eight points, respectively, in the loss.  

Trailing by seven to start the fourth quarter (40-33), Endicott pulled within a two-possession game six times down the stretch but Suffolk always seemed to have an answer to secure the victory.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Suffolk led for 34:48 of the contest, highlighted by a game-high 11-point advantage with 6:26 remaining in the second quarter.
  • The Gulls' bench outscored the Rams 30-17.
  • Today's game only featured three ties and one lead change.

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (15-10, 12-6 CCC) hosts Salve Regina on Tuesday, February 22 in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Tournament quarterfinal round at a time to be determined later. Suffolk (18-7, 12-6 CCC) welcomes Gordon to its campus next Tuesday for its CCC Quarterfinal matchup, also at a time to be determined later.
