BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women's basketball team fell to Rhode Island College (RIC), 74-54, on Saturday afternoon at MacDonald Gymnasium.
Junior forward Tara Laugeni (Woodbridge, Conn.) paced the Gulls with a team-high 15 points to go along with four rebounds, three assists, one steal, and a block in the loss.
Endicott also saw Lexi Gellerman (West Hartford, Conn.) and Libby Fleming (Bangor, Maine) contribute 11 and 10 points, respectively, off the bench.
Trailing 17-16 at the 8:20 mark of the second quarter, the Anchorwomen closed out the half on 15-7 and never relinquished the lead for the remainder of the contest.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Today was the first-ever meeting between the two programs.
- RIC head coach Jenna Cosgrove is a 2009 alum of Endicott College and was a four-year starter and captain of the Gulls' women's basketball program.
- Gellerman finished the contest with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
- The Anchorwomen led for 33:25 in the matchup.
- RIC's bench outscored Endicott 40-29.

Endicott (0-1) travels to Springfield on Wednesday, November 17 at 7:30 PM. RIC (1-1) visits Amherst on Monday, November 15 at 7 PM.
