Laugeni Receives CCC Player Of The Week Award

BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott junior forward Tara Laugeni (Woodbridge, Conn.) has earned Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Player of the Week honors, as announced by the league office earlier today.

Last week for the Gulls, Laugeni averaged 24.0 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 2.0 assists as the Gulls played to a 2-0 record in a pair of non-conference games.

Laugeni's best game of the week came in an 87-85 overtime win over Coast Guard in which she scored a career-high 30 points and tied her career-best with 13 rebounds. She also had three assists, three blocks, and two steals in the contest.

Laugeni then added 18 points and eight rebounds in a 77-61 win over Salem State. She was a solid shooter from the floor last week with a 56.4 percent (22-for-39) shooting percentage.

This is Laugeni's first career CCC Player of the Week award.

Endicott (4-4, 1-2 CCC) travels to Babson on Thursday, December 30 at 3 PM.

The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC), founded in 1984, is an NCAA Division III athletic conference comprised of 10 full member and one associate member institutions throughout the New England region.
