Women's Basketball Downs Wentworth, 63-53

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women's basketball team defeated Wentworth, 63-53, on Monday night in conference action at MacDonald Gymnasium.

At the half, the Gulls led the Leopards 35-25 before leading by many as 19 points (3rd, 52-33, 2:22) and never looked back. 

Tara Laugeni (Woodbridge, Conn.) led all scorers with 15 points alongside five rebounds, two steals, and a couple of assists.

Sarah Dempsey (Windham, N.H.) also contributed 12 points and seven rebounds, while Emily St. Thomas (Sterling, Mass.) notched 10 points in the victory.

Olivia Duncan (Essex Junction, Vt.) rounded out the list of individual highlights with eight points, paired with eight rebounds, and five assists.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE 

  • Endicott is 34-3 in the all-time series against Wentworth.
  • The matchup featured four ties and four lead changes. 
  • The Blue and Green led for 33:03 of the game.
  • Endicott has won three games in a row for the third time this season.

Endicott (15-8, 12-4 CCC) travels to Nichols on Wednesday, February 16 at 5:30 PM. Wentworth (3-19, 1-15 CCC) visits Curry this Wednesday at 5:30 PM.
