BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott women's basketball freshman forward Sarah Dempsey (Windham, N.H.) has received Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Player and Rookie of the Week honors, respectively, as announced by the league office earlier today.
Last week (1/17-23), Dempsey guided Endicott to a 2-1 record in three CCC contests. Dempsey averaged 20.3 points and 12.3 rebounds per game, while shooting 55.6 percent (24-for-45) from the floor. She recorded double-doubles in all three contests with 11 points and 10 rebounds against Wentworth, 28 points and 10 rebounds against No. 22 nationally ranked Roger Williams, and 22 points and 17 rebounds against Gordon. The first-year Gull also averaged 2.0 assists, 2.0 steals, and 2.0 blocks during the week.
This is Dempsey's first career CCC Player of the Week award and third career CCC Rookie of the Week honor.
