Springfield Tops Women’s Basketball, 74-52

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — The Endicott women's basketball team lost to Springfield College, 74-52, in non-conference action on Wednesday night at Blake Arena.

Freshman Sarah Dempsey (Windham, N.H.) led Endicott with a career-high 14 points (6-11 FG, 1-1 3PT, 1-3 FT) in 30 minutes off the bench.

The Gulls also saw Tara Laugeni (Woodbridge, Conn.) contribute eight points, seven rebounds, two steals, and one assist in the loss.

Meanwhile, Taylor Bogdanski (Saugus, Mass.) and Ariana Silvia (Falmouth, Mass.) rounded out the list of highlights for the Gulls with nine and eight points, respectively.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Today was the first-ever meeting between the two programs.
  • The Pride are undefeated at home this season (2-0).
  • Silvia notched a career-high in points tonight.
  • Bogdanski registered a season-high in points (career-high 13 points versus Nichols on March 13, 2021).
  • Springfield is off to its best start since 1998 (5-0).

Endicott (0-2) hosts the University of New England on Saturday, November 20 at 1 PM. Springfield (5-0) welcomes Vassar to its campus this Saturday at 1 PM.
