Nov. 14, 2008

BEVERLY, Mass. - Endicott College senior Brittany Nolan (Monroe, Conn.) has been named an Honorable Mention All-Region selection, as announced by the American Volleyball Coaches Association on Friday. Nolan is just the third Endicott women's volleyball player to receive such an honor, joining former standouts Meghan Hall ('08, Santa Cruz, Calif.) and Sara Moore ('07, Guilford, Conn.), who both were named Honorable Mention All-Region in 2004.

Brittany Nolan wrapped up a sensational senior season as she posted a team-high 521 digs in 115 sets. Her average of 4.53 digs per set was also tops on the team. For her career, Nolan is the program's all-time leader in digs (2,316), digs per set (4.86), third in matches played (142) and fourth in service aces (172). Her junior season mark of 633 digs is a single-season record for the program.

During her time at Endicott, the Gulls won three The Commonwealth Coast Conference Championships, appeared in three NCAA Division III Tournaments and Nolan was recognized as the conference Libero of the Year in 2008. Her graduating class came just one win shy of reaching the century mark, posting a group record of 99-55.
