BEVERLY, Mass. - Two days after their third-straight The Commonwealth Coast Conference title, a pair of Endicott seniors were awarded with conference weekly honors. TCCC Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye announced on Monday that Hayley Janelle (Madbury, N.H.) has been named the Conference Player of the Week, while Brittany Nolan (Monroe, Conn.) was awarded the Conference Libero of the Week.
Senior middle Hayley Janelle averaged 1.67 kills and an impressive 1.22 blocks per set as the Gulls posted three consecutive 3-0 victories en route to a third-straight TCCC championship and an automatic berth in the NCAA Division III Championship. Janelle will enter the New England Regional Tournament with 119 total blocks and 372 total points.
Senior libero Brittany Nolan averaged 5.83 kills per set throughout the TCCC Championship, lifting the Gulls to a third-consecutive league title. Nolan committed just one reception error in 45 attempts. She has a team-best 487 digs and a .905 serve-reception.
Endicott returns to action on Thursday evening as the Gulls face Wellesley College in the NCAA New England Regional Tournament at 6:00 p.m. The match is scheduled to be webcasted on Tufts University's JumboCast service. Check back to www.ecgulls.com for more information as it becomes available.
