New London, CT -- Endicott went 1-1 at the Conn College Quad. In the first match of the day, the Gulls fell to Conn 3-0 (29-31, 26-30, 24-30). Then in the afternoon match, EC rebounded to defeat Babson 3-0 (30-17, 30-27, 30-19).
In the first match, host Conn College held off a furious charge from the Gulls as they rallied from a 20-27 deficit to tie the score at 29 before dropping the last two points of the game. The second and third games saw back and forth action as the Gulls struggled to maintain any consisitent momentum.
A few terrific performances were turned in by the Gulls. Between the two matches senior Sara Moore, hammered down 27 kills and Hayley Janelle continued her steady play at the net with 20 kills and six blocks. Brittany Nolan picked up 34 digs and Meghan Hall dished out 64 assists, six aces and 14 digs.
The Gulls are now 18-11 overall and 8-0 in CCC play. EC will return to action on Wednesday when they will travel to Anna Maria for a 6:00 PM CCC Match.
