BOSTON, MA - Endicott played a close match but fell to Emmanuel in four games. The Gulls dropped the first game 31-29 then came back to win the second game 30-25, before losing the final two games 30-28 and 30-26.
Despite the loss EC got a breakout performance from freshmen Steph Wiese (Higganum,CT). Wiese had a career high 19 kills to lead the Gulls, she also added 14 digs. Endicott once again saw Meghan Hall (Santa Cruz, CA) lead the team with 39 assists, while Hayley Janelle (Madbury, NH) returned to the Gulls lineup and made an immediate impact picking up eight kills and six blocks.
Endicott falls to 2-8 on the season with the loss. The Gulls return home this weekend to begin conference play with matches against Wentworth Institute of Technology and the University of New England. Despite their record coach Tim Byram feels his team is starting to hit their stride and is ready to turn things around with the start of CCC play.
