PAXTON, MA - The Endicott College women's volleyball team wrapped up their Commonwealth Coast Conference regular season schedule with a three game sweep of Anna Maria and a perfect 9-0 record.
The Gulls breezed past the Amcats as they won 30-8, 30-8 and 30-9 giving Endicott an undefeated season in the CCC and locking up the top seed in the upcoming conference tournament.
The Gulls got strong play from a number of players as Lauren Lundstrom (Edina, MN/Edina) and Kim Marschner (Londonderry, NH/Londonderry) recorded 10 kills each, while Casey Ward (Monroe, CT/Masuk) added two kills and 28 assists. Katelyn Smith (Ballston Lake, NY/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) posted a triple double of sorts with 11 kills, 10 service aces and 11 digs.
Endicott also enjoyed another record setting night. The team set a program record for attack percentage (.515) and Smith tied the team record for aces in a three game match.
With the win the Gulls improved to 19-11 overall and 9-0 in conference play, they have secured home court advantage through out the CCC playoffs and will host a quarterfinal match up with Wentworth Institute of Technology on Tuesday evening. Before the tournament starts however EC will head to Brandies for the Judge's Classic on Friday and Saturday.
