Six Gulls Earn All-TCCC Honors

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Endicott College women's tennis team was honored with six TCCC season awards on Tuesday as announced by TCCC Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye. The Gulls had a player nominated in each individual and team honor as Endicott wrapped up its regular season with a 13-1 (9-1 TCCC) record.

Freshman Kate Cioffi (Essex, Vt.) was named to the First Team All-Conference team in singles as well as Second Team All-Conference with teammate Alyson Boehm (Lowell, Mass.) in doubles play. Cioffi finished off the regular season with an 11-1 record that included an 8-0 record in TCCC play. The duo of Cioffi and Boehm were able to finish their doubles season with an overall record of 11-1 while going 8-1 in conference.

Endicott was also able to garner first team honors in doubles play. Juniors Nicole Breting (Johnston, R.I.) and Lori Wardner (Wrentham, Mass.) were able to compile a 10-3 record in \#1 doubles throughout the year which earned them the First Team honor. Both Breting and Wardner were honored for their individual play as well as Breting was named to the Second Team singles All-TCCC team and Wardner earned a place on the Honorable Mention team. In singles, Breting played to a 10-2 record overall while going 7-2 in the TCCC. Wardner went unbeaten this season posting a record of 13-0 (9-0 TCCC).

Finally, the senior combo of Kate Fiske (Westerly, R.I.) and Jenna Carme (Greenfield, Mass.) were named to the TCCC Honorable Mention squad in doubles play. The two teammates combined for a record of 12-1 on the season while going 8-1 in TCCC contests.

The Blue and Green look to move forward in the postseason as they host Gordon College in the TCCC Quarterfinals on Tuesday. The match will take place at 2:00 p.m. at Endicott's South Campus.
