Pair of Sargents earn ECAC honors

BEVERLY, Mass. - Endicott College's Meghan (Salisbury, Mass.) and Danielle Sargent (Sabattus, Maine) have earned Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference Second Team honors, as announced by the ECAC on Tuesday morning. The duo helped lead Endicott to its most successful season ever, as the Gulls posted 41 wins and played in the NCAA Regional Finals for the first time in school history.

Meghan Sargent, The Commonwealth Coast Conference Player of the Year and a Louisville Slugger/NFCA All-Region selection, batted .326 with six homeruns and 35 RBIs. Sargent totaled 75 bases and slugged at .543 clip while serving as the team's everyday catcher.

Danielle Sargent also had a stellar year for the Blue and Green, earning All-Region honors and a spot on the TCCC First Team. Danielle appeared in all 47 of Endicott's games, hitting .336 with 41 hits and 35 runs scored. Sargent also committed just one error and had 42 putouts for the Gulls.
