BEVERLY, Mass. - The Endicott College softball team has been ranked 15th in the nation by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association's Division III Top 25 Poll released on Friday. The Gulls, who were previously ranked 20th in the nation, moved up five spots in the most recent poll.

Endicott is currently 36-4 overall, and 22-2 in the The Commonwealth Coast Conference. At one point this season the Gulls ran-off 18-straight wins, and are currently ranked number one in New England. The team is led by 2008 TCCC Coach of the Year Mark Veilleux and 2007/2008 TCCC Player of the Year Meghan Sargent (Salisbury, Mass.).

The Green and Blue entered this year's TCCC Tournament as the number one seed and quickly defeated the University of New England by the score of 3-0 on Thursday to advance in the winner's bracket. The Gulls are looking to capture their sixth-straight TCCC Championship, and will take on Western New England College on Friday at Endicott Softball Field in Beverly, Mass. Game time is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. or twenty minutes following the conclusion of game one.
