Sargent selected as TCCC Player of the Week

BEVERLY, Mass. - Endicott College junior Meghan Sargent (Salisbury, Mass.) was named the The Commonwealth Conference Player of the Week on Monday, as announced by Commissioner Greg Kaye.

Sargent batted .444 (8-for-18) with 10 RBI and seven runs scored during the week, as the Gulls posted a perfect 6-0 weekly record and moved into sole possession of first place in the conference following a doubleheader sweep of second-place Nichols. Sargent batted safely in five of six games and added three doubles, one home run, and three stolen bases. She collected multiple hits in two contests and drove in multiple runs on three occasions. For the week, she led the team in hits, runs, RBI, doubles, and total bases. The junior also compiled a .524 on-base percentage and a .778 slugging percentage, giving her an outstanding 1.302 OPS.

Endicott College is now 31-4 overall and 20-2 in the TCCC. The Gulls will return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Milton, Mass. to take on Curry College in a TCCC doubleheader. Game times are scheduled for 3:00 and 5:00 p.m.
