SMITHFIELD, R.I. — Endicott men's volleyball outside hitter Aidan Iacovelli (South Windsor, Conn.) has been named the New England Volleyball Conference (NEVC) Athlete of the Week, as announced by the league office Monday.
In Endicott's 3-1 road win over Suny Poly on Saturday, Iacovelli led the Gulls with a career-high 23 kills while hitting .476. Saturday's match was the second consecutive match with 20 or more kills for the junior.
After the Gulls dropped the third set in the match, the Iacovelli helped secure the win with 10 kills in the fourth set as he hit .667 with zero erros. The win helped the Gulls secure the No. 3 seed in the upcoming NEVC Tournament.
This is Iacovelli's second Athlete of the Week honor this season and the third of his career (3/5/24 and 2/10/25).
WHAT'S NEXT
Endicott (12-11, 4-2 NEVC) hosts No. 6 seed Sage in the First Round of the NEVC Tournament on Wednesday, March 9 at 7 PM.
