Men’s Volleyball Blanks Manhattanville, 3-0

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Endicott men's volleyball team defeated Manhattanville, 3-0, by scores of 25-15, 27-25, and 25-20 on Saturday afternoon at Nazareth College.

Aidan Iacovelli (South Windsor, Conn.) posted a match-high 13 kills and a team-high eight digs.

Luke Madson (Nazareth, Pa.) added eight kills and six digs, while Matty Tiernan (Bradford, R.I.) facilitated the offense with a match-high 32 assists and five digs.

Today's match featured 21 ties (2-14-5) and seven lead changes (0-4-3).

In the second stanza, Endicott rallied from a set-high four-point deficit (19-14) to win the middle game and later cruise to the sweep.

Iacovelli and Madson powered the Gulls' comeback efforts with five and three kills, respectively, during the run.

Three of Iacovelli's putaways tied the match (20-20, 21-21, 23-23), while Madson's last two kills won the set.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • First-ever meeting between the two programs.
  • The Gulls are 2-2 in neutral site matches this season.
  • Iacovelli finished set two with six kills.
  • Madson had five kills in set two.
  • The duo went a combined 29-for-31 on serve-receive (.935; 15-16; 14-15).
