BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott men's volleyball team defeated Emmanuel, 3-0, by scores of 25-22, 25-17, and 25-15 on Tuesday night in non-conference action at MacDonald Gymnasium.
Jake Laborde (Brookline, N.H.) compiled a match-high 13 kills on 26 swings (.423) to pace the Gulls.
Aidan Iacovelli (South Windsor, Conn.), Corey Klass Jr. (Beverly, Mass.), Jackson Gray (Glenmont, N.Y.), and Thomas Matchett (North Smithfield, R.I.) rounded out the rest of the offense, notching at least five kills apiece (8, 7, 6, 5).
Matty Tiernan (Bradford, R.I.) filled the stat sheet with a match-high 32 assists (.484), seven digs, and three block assists, while Adin Jepsky (San Jose, Calif.) guided the defense with a match-high 11 digs and a perfect 11-for-11 showing on serve-receive.
Endicott dominated from start to finish as tonight's contest featured only four ties (3-0-1) and one lead change in the first set.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Endicott leads the all-time series, 21-9 (10th sweep overall).
- The Gulls are 4-2 at home; the Saints are 3-4 on the road
- Third straight match hitting .310 or better (3-0 record in that span).
- Fourth straight victory for Endicott.
- Iacovelli was nails on serve-receive going 20-for-20 (match-best, min. 20 attempts).
