BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott men's volleyball team defeated Russell Sage, 3-1, by scores of 25-13, 25-17, 21-25, and 25-14 on Friday night in conference action at MacDonald Gymnasium.
Jake Laborde (Brookline, N.H.) powered the Gulls with a match-high 16 kills (.481), four digs, three blocks (one solo), and two service aces.
Corey Klass Jr. (Beverly, Mass.) contributed 12 kills (.476), three digs, three block assists, and a match-high five service aces to the victory, while Aidan Iacovelli (South Windsor, Conn.) chipped in with 12 kills and seven digs.
Matty Tiernan (Bradford, R.I.) facilitated the offense via a match-high 46 assists.
Thomas Matchett (North Smithfield, R.I.) and Dan Battista (Bethlehem, N.Y.) highlighted the defense with match-highs for block assists (6) and digs (9).
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Tonight's match only featured 10 ties (1-7-2-0) and three lead changes (0-3-0-0).
- Endicott leads the all-time series, 7-0 (all previous matches were sweeps).
- Tiernan has dished out 40 or more assists in three matches this season.
- Laborde (19-for-19) and Iacovelli (22-for-22) were perfect on serve-receive.
- The Gulls close out the month of February with a 4-1 record.
