Men's Ice Hockey Doubles Up Suffolk On Senior Day, 4-2

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men's ice hockey team defeated Suffolk, 4-2, on Saturday evening in conference action at Raymond J. Bourque Arena.

Prior to the matchup, Connor Beatty (Concord, N.H.), Cass Bowes (Sturgeon County, Alberta), Ryan Gaulin (Stratham, N.H.), Andrew Kurapov (Corvallis, Ore.), Drew Lorinchak (Hamilton, Va.), A.J. Martinelli (Grosse Point Farms, Mich.), Liam Ovington (Warminster, Pa.), John Serafin (St. Louis, Mo.), Cam Speck (Burnt Hills, N.Y.), and Jackson Sterrett (Hendersonville, Tenn.) were all honored on the ice in a pre-game ceremony for their contributions to the men's ice hockey program and the College.

Sterrett highlighted the Senior Day honorees with a two-goal performance (1st, PP, 19:53 | 3rd, EV, 8:24).

Kurapov scored 28 seconds into the second period, while Jack Ring's (Guilford, Conn.) diving redirection goal near the left post less than two minutes later in the frame (2:18) served as the game-winner.

In goal, Ryan Wilson (Shelton, Conn.) made 22 saves to improve to 8-2-2 on the season.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Endicott is 14-2-1 all-time against Suffolk (eight straight wins).
  • The Gulls are 8-2-3 at home; the Rams are 2-8-1 on the road.
  • Michael Casey (Media, Pa.) won a game-high 12 faceoffs.

Endicott (14-5-5, 11-3-3 CCC) visits Nichols on Friday, February 16 at 5:40 PM. Suffolk (5-17-2, 4-12-1 CCC) travels to Curry next Friday at 7 PM.
