No. 7 Men’s Ice Hockey Takes Down No. 13 Curry, 6-2

BEVERLY, Mass. — The No. 7 nationally ranked Endicott men's ice hockey team defeated No. 13 Curry, 6-2, in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action on Saturday night at Raymond J. Bourque Arena. 

The Gulls raced out to a 5-0 lead and never looked back.

Five different student-athletes lit the lamp for the hosts highlighted by Cass Bowes (Sturgeon County, Alberta) who potted a pair of tallies at the 7:34 (PP) and 17:58 marks of the first period.

John Goldowski (Buffalo, N.Y.), James Davenport (Natick, Mass.), Ryan Willett (Bayville, N.Y.), and Zach Mazur (Lancaster, N.Y.) all buried one goal apiece for the Blue and Green in the convincing victory. 

In net, Atticus Kelly (St. Paul, Minn) made 35 saves in the triumph to improve to 1-1-0 on the season.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • The Blue and Green are 9-2-0 all-time at The Nest versus the Colonels.
  • Endicott controlled the face-off dot winning 48 out of the 60 chances in the circle. 
  • Michael Casey (Media, Pa.) registered his first career multi-point effort courtesy of two assists. 
  • Davenport notched his first career goal as a Gull.

No. 7 Endicott (1-2-0, 1-1-0 CCC) travels to No. 11 University of New England on Friday, November 10 at 7:00 PM. No. 13 Curry (1-1-1, 1-1-0 CCC) visits Suffolk next Friday at 5:00 PM.
