Men’s Ice Hockey Turns Away Nichols, 5-1

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott men's ice hockey scored at least one goal in every period to defeat Nichols, 5-1, in conference action on Friday night at Raymond J. Bourque Arena.

Drew Lorinchak (Hamilton, Va.) and Michael Casey (Media, Pa.) scored 15 seconds apart in the first period (14:09, 14:24, both even strength) and the Gulls never looked back in the contest.

Cass Bowes (Sturgeon County, Alberta) found the back of the net in the second (12:50), while Andrew Kurapov (Corvallis, Ore.) and Zach Mazur (Lancaster, N.Y.) rounded out the scoring in the third (1:10, 2:18).

The final three goals of the game were scored on the power play, with Kurapov and Mazur's coming on a five-minute spearing major in the third. Kurapov's tally highlighted the trio as the senior forward buried a "Michigan Goal" at the right post.

Endicott finished the matchup 3-for-7 on the power play.

In goal, Atticus Kelly (St. Paul, Minn.) made 23 saves (7-7-9) to improve to 4-2-3 on the season.
