NORTHFIELD, Vt. — The No. 3 nationally ranked Endicott men's ice hockey lost to No. 8 Norwich, 4-1, in non-conference action on Saturday night at Kreitzberg Arena.
Early in the second period (1:07), junior forward Ryan Willett (Bayville, N.Y.) ripped home a one-timer from the right faceoff dot to even the score at 1-1.
Jackson Sterrett (Hendersonville, N.Y.) initiated the tally via a 2-on-1 break after Liam Ovington (Warminster, Pa.) forced a turnover in the Gulls' defensive end.
From there, the Cadets scored three unanswered goals (2ND — 9:45 | 3RD — 1:41, 18:33 EN) to come away with the victory.
In goal, Atticus Kelly (St. Paul, Minn.) made 36 saves in the setback.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Norwich holds a slight edge in the all-time series, 2-1-3.
- The first three matchups between the two programs all ended in 3-3 ties.
- Willett buried his ninth career goal.
