Men's Ice Hockey Tops Salem St., 8-1; Mazur Registers 100th Career Point

SALEM, Mass. — The Endicott men's ice hockey team defeated Salem St., 8-1, on Tuesday night in non-conference hockey action.

At the 17:42 mark of the third period, Zach Mazur (Lancaster, N.Y.) scored his third goal of the night (fourth point) as he registered his 100th career point.

Mazur scored the opening two goals of the game for Endicott as they raced out to a 4-0 lead in the opening 20 minutes as Ryan Gaulin (Stratham, N.H.) and Andrew Kurapov (Corvallis, Ore.) added tallies as well.

The scoring continued in the second period as Jack Ring (Guilford, Conn.) made it 5-0, then Cody Hoban (Guilford, Conn.), Mazur, and Kevin Craig (Hyannis, Mass.) scored in the third period to close out the victory.

In net, Atticus Kelly (St. Paul, Minn.) earned the win and improved to 3-2-3 on the season behind his 24-save performance.

  • Mazur is the fifth Endicott player of all time to reach 100 points in his Endicott career.
  • First career hat-trick for Mazur and his four points in a game ties a career-high (W, 7-0, at Wentworth 1/21/22)

Endicott (8-3-4) hosts Curry at the Raymond J. Bourque Arena on Friday, January 12 at 7 PM. Salem St. (3-10) hosts Framingham St. at 7 PM on Thursday, January 11.
