Field Hockey Takes Care Of Crosstown Rival Gordon, 5-0

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott field hockey team blanked Gordon, 5-0, in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action on Saturday afternoon at North Field.

Olivia Lampasona (Watertown, Mass.) found the back of the net twice in the fourth quarter (33:50 l 38:40), while Jenna Seibold (Reading, Mass.), Reagan Hicks (Barnstable, Mass.), and Meaghan Hogan (Chesire, Conn.) also scored in the dominating victory. 

In goal, Brianna Anslow (Clifton Park, N.Y.) played all 60 minutes of action in cage recording her seventh shutout of the season (9-2 overall).

BEYOND THE BOX

  • Endicott secured its 25th win in the all-time series versus Gordon (25-8 overall, 13 consecutive wins).
  • The Blue and Green have yet to allow a goal in conference play. 
  • Seibold recorded her first tally of the 2022 campaign. 
  • Lampasona notched the sixth multi-goal game of her career (third this season). 
  • After dropping their first home game versus No. 20 nationally ranked MIT earlier this season (9/6), the Gulls have won six consecutive contests at The Nest (6-1), which includes a 2-1 overtime victory over No. 4 Tufts (10/6).

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (10-2, 3-0 CCC) visits Worchester State on Thursday, October 13 at 7 PM. Gordon (2-9, 0-3 CCC) travels to the University of New England (UNE) on Saturday, October 15 at 12 PM.
