2022 Field Hockey Season Preview

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott field hockey team opens up its 2022 season on the road versus Marywood on Saturday, September 3 at 1:30 PM on the campus of Vassar College (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.). Here's a preview of the Gulls' upcoming season. 

FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • Endicott comes into the 2022 campaign as the top-ranked team in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC), per the league's preseason poll.
  • The Gulls will look to capture their fourth straight CCC Championship this year.
  • The team returns Claire Boncek (Hamden, Conn.), who received first team all-conference accolades in 2021, in addition to Meaghan Hogan (Cheshire, Conn.), Olivia Lampasona (Watertown, Mass.), and Rachael Lemay (Westminster, Mass.), who were awarded second team all-conference honors a year ago. 
  • Lindsay Bruns (Belfast, Maine) will also bolster Endicott's offense after transferring from the University of New England (UNE) where she ranked second on the Nor'Easters in goals scored last year (9).
  • Endicott has won six consecutive season openers.
