(Beverly, MA) In a slow drizzle, Jamie Turner put all distractions aside and threw a one-hitter against New England College. Turner was perfect through three innings before allowing a lead off single in the fourth. The only other base runners for New England reached by a walk and an error.
Endicott scored two in the second, one in the third and one in the sixth. Pat Vincent led off the second with a double to right center. He advanced to third on Kevin Donahue's fly out to center and scored on a wild pitch to Mark Vaughan. Vaughan ended up with a walk and stole second base. He then scored on Steve Vidmosko's line single to center.
Vincent scored again in the third. With two outs and no one on he singled sharply to center. He stole second. On a ball in the dirt he advanced to third and scored when the catcher's throw to third sailed into left field.
Vaughan scored again in the sixth; like Vincent with two men out and no one on. He singled and went to second on a pass ball. Abe Bellini doubled in him with a deep drive over the left fielder's head.
The win improves Endicott to 10-9 and drops New England to 2-10.
