(Milton, MA) Endicott won its first double-header of the season with a 6-2 win over Curry College in the second game. Greg Allain picked up his third win of the season against just one loss.
Endicott came out strong in the top of the first and put up two quick runs. Dave Babiarz singled with one out and went to second on an errant pick off attempt from the pitcher. Mike Lucas then singled him in. He stole second and Allain singled him in. Curry got one back in the bottom of the first off a leadoff single, a slow rolling 'hit and run' 5-3 out on which the runner on first advanced all the way to third, and a ground ball RBI out with the infield back.
Curry tied with another run in the third. Allain walked the lead off hitter, Tyler Pyburn. He stole second and was bunted over by Rob Fisher. He scored on another ground ball out with the infield back.
Endicott went ahead for good with a run in the fifth. Allain and Matt Bishop singled to start the inning. Pat Vincent singled to right to load the bases with one out. Allain then scored from third on a wild pitch. Endicott picked insurance with one more in the sixth and two in the top of the seventh.
Allain moved his record to 3-1 on 7 innings pitched, two earned runs, four hits, 1 walk and three strike outs. Endicott evened it record at 9-9, and reached the .500 mark for the first time since starting the season 1-1 in Florida. Curry dropped to 7-5.
