DUDLEY, Mass. – The Endicott women's tennis team fell to Nichols, 4-0, in the Conference of New England (CNE) Championship on Saturday afternoon at the Robinson Tennis Courts.
Nichols captured its sixth conference title in program history, and first since 2018-19.
With the win, the Bison will represent the CNE in the NCAA Tournament later this spring and also hold claim to winning the first conference championship in league history since the rebrand earlier this year.
The loss ended the Gulls' four-year title run (2020-23), which included three victories over Nichols during that span (2021, 2022-23).
Nichols earned the doubles point with a 6-2 triumph at No. 1 and a 6-3 win at No. 2.
In singles, the Bison turned in victories at No. 5 (6-1, 6-0), No. 2 (6-1, 6-1), and No. 1 (6-2, 6-2) to best the Gulls.
Charis Vogler (Brandenburg, Germany) was named the CNE Tournament Most Outstanding Player for her efforts throughout the entire playoffs.
This is the first year the league has recognized a Most Outstanding Player for a conference tournament.
