BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott women's tennis team defeated Curry in its Conference of New England opener, 7-0, on Thursday afternoon at the South Campus Courts.
In doubles, No. 2 Milana Montini (Southbury, Conn.) / Abbey Fleming (Wolfeboro, N.H.) and No. 1 Yolanda Mendonca (Albany, N.Y.) / Ana Mar Molina (Sachse, Texas) each won by a score of 6-1 to take the point for the Gulls.
Meanwhile, Fleming captured a 6-0, 6-1 victory at No. 5, Molina collected a 6-0, 6-1 triumph at No. 2, and Ashley Klauck (Magnolia, Texas) secured the match with a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 4.
The depth of Endicott's lineup was on full display as Mendonca (No. 6, 6-1, 6-0), Ripley Uyeda (Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.) (No. 1, 6-1, 6-0), and Montini (No. 3, 7-5, 6-3) all managed victories in the sweep.

"We stayed aggressive throughout and a lot of people competed well for their first individual matches of the year. All 13 of our student-athletes are building good momentum," said Endicott women's tennis head coach Anthony D'Angelo.
