MANCHESTER, N.H. — The Endicott women's tennis team fell to NCAA Division II Saint Anselm College, 4-3, on Friday evening.
In doubles play, the hosts emerged victorious at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles to clinch the doubles point for the match but Olivia Martinelli (Coral Springs, Fla.) and Caroline Sutliffe (Duxbury, Mass.) were able to secure a 6-3 victory at No. 3 doubles.
The Hawks were able to pick up three singles victories at No. 1, No. 3 and No. 6 to secure the victory.
Emily Leclerc (Manchester, N.H.) picked up the Gulls' first point at No. 2 (6-3, 7-6), while Ripley Uyeda (Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.) and Sutliffe earned 6-3, 6-0 and 6-0, 6-1 triumphs at No. 4 and No. 5 to round out the list of winners for Endicott.

"We did a lot of good things in sprits. It doesn't feel like we are at maximum level yet, but we are competing hard," said Endicott women's tennis head coach Anthony D'Angelo. "We will enjoy a weekend off and keep it rolling next week."
