DUDLEY, Mass. – The Endicott women's tennis team fell to Nichols, 7-0, in Conference of New England (CNE) action on Saturday evening at the Robinson Tennis Courts.
Olivia Martinelli (Coral Springs, Fla.) / Caroline Sutliffe (Duxbury, Mass.) produced a 7-5 triumph at No. 2 doubles, but the win did not count towards the team score as Nichols took the doubles point via victories at No. 1 (6-0) and No. 3 (6-1).

"I'm proud of how well we battled mentally today and the energy we brought to the match," said interim women's tennis head coach Ibadat Javed. "This is a good learning opportunity and we are excited to keep building for the rest of the season."
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Martinelli and Sutliffe are undefeated as a doubles pairing (3-0).
- This was their first time playing at No. 2 doubles this season (2-0 at No. 3).
- Nichols is 4-0 at home.

Endicott (3-4, 2-1 CNE) resumes its suspended match against Gordon on Monday, September 30 at 3 PM. Nichols (5-2, 3-0 CNE) hosts UMass Boston next Monday at 3:30 PM.
