Pair of Gulls earn NSCAA All-Region
BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott College’s \#Caitlin Flynn\# (Southold, N.Y.) and \#Caitlin Peters\# (Salem, N.H.) have been named to the 2009 National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-Region Team as announced by the NSCAA offices earlier this week. Flynn was named to the First Team while Peters, in her first collegiate season, was named to the Third Team.

\#Caitlin Flynn\# and \#Caitlin Peters\# were instrumental in Endicott’s TCCC Championship and NCAA Tournament run. Flynn earned The Commonwealth Coast Conference Player of the Year for the second consecutive season while scoring 11 goals and adding nine assists for a total of 31 points. The senior standout had seven points in the Gulls’ three conference tournament games, including a goal and an assist in the TCCC finals.

Freshman defender \#Caitlin Peters\# played a vital role in Endicott’s nation-long shutout streak of 1,063:59 minutes that spanned over the entire month of October. Peters and the Gulls posted 11-straight shutouts before allowing a single goal in the conference title game. Peters, who was a First Team TCCC selection, added two assists in her rookie campaign.

Both Peters and Flynn have racked up the postseason awards as the duo were both named ECAC Division III New England Women’s Soccer All-Stars Second Team while also being honored as First Team selections to the 2009 New England Women’s Intercollegiate Soccer Association’s All-New England Team.
