\#Caitlin Flynn\# and \#Caitlin Peters\# were instrumental in Endicott’s TCCC Championship and NCAA Tournament run. Flynn, who was named The Commonwealth Coast Conference Player of the Year for a second consecutive season, scored 11 goals and added nine assists for 31 points. The senior standout had seven points in the Gulls’ three conference tournament games, including a goal and an assist in the TCCC finals.
Freshman defender \#Caitlin Peters\# played a vital role in Endicott’s nation-long shutout streak of 1,063:59 minutes that spanned over the entire month of October. Peters and the Gulls posted 11-straight shutouts before allowing a single goal in the conference title game. Peters, who was a First Team TCCC selection, added two assists in her rookie campaign.
Westfield State’s Meg Gearin picked up Offensive Player of the Year honors. The senior forward scored 19 goals and tallied four assists for 42 points while leading her team to an NCAA Tournament berth. Defensive Player of the Year went to Middlebury's Lauryn Torch. Torch helped the No. 12 Panthers to an NCAA berth. She had a NESCAC leading eight shutouts, with a 0.81 goals against average. Nichols freshman Samantha Abro nabbed Rookie of the Year honors. Abro had an impressive collegiate debut, scoring 22 goals and five assists for 49 points.
