MILTON, Mass. – Endicott College got six goals from five different players as the Gulls’ offense erupted for a 6-0 blowout win over TCCC rival Curry College on Saturday evening in Milton, Mass. The win improves the Blue and Green to 11-4 overall and 9-1 in league play. Curry slips to 9-4-2 and 5-4-1 in The Commonwealth Coast Conference.
Senior forward \#Allyson Bellemore\# (Manchester, N.H.) put the Gulls ahead 1-0 with an unassisted tally with 19:20 remaining in the opening half. Bellemore struck again before the close of the period as she notched her third of the year, again unassisted, to give the Blue and Green a 2-0 lead at the intermission.
The halftime score could have been far different if not for the standout play of graduate student goalkeeper \#Amy Meuse\# (Saugus, Mass.). Meuse made four stops in the frame, including two key saves in the opening 45:00 minutes to keep the shutout intact.
\#Colleen Pepin\# (Fairhaven, Mass.) and \#Caitlin Flynn\# (Southold, N.Y.) put the game out of reach in the second as the pair scored back-to-back goals just 1:34 apart to give Endicott a commanding 4-0 lead. \#Karyn Plate\# (Sanford, Maine) would add a goal and an assist, while \#Cheyenne Harris\# (Bernardsville, N.J.) rounded out the scoring with a goal at the 11:34 mark of the second half.
Despite the lopsided score, Endicott only held a slight 14-12 advantage in shots. \#Amy Meuse\# finished the night with nine saves, earning her a fourth-straight shutout victory. Meuse has not allowed a single goal in her five games this season.
Endicott, who has now won six in a row, returns to action on Wednesday when the Gulls travel to Henniker, N.H. for a TCCC game against the Pilgrims of New England College.
