Meuse named TCCC Defensive Player of the Week
BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott College graduate student goalkeeper \#Amy Meuse\# (Saugus, Mass.) has been named The Commonwealth Coast Conference Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by TCCC Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye on Monday. Meuse and the Gulls currently have the nation’s second longest active shutout streak, as the Blue and Green have held the opposition scoreless for the last 720:00 minutes.

Meuse, who rejoined the team on October 3rd, has played in seven games this season and has yet to yield a single goal. The Gulls have won their last eight games by way of shutout, with Meuse posting a perfect save percentage of 1.000 and a goals against average of 0.00. This past week the Saugus, Mass. native only need to make one save in a 3-0 blanking of New England College. She then turned away four shots in a 2-0 victory over Colby-Sawyer. The Gulls wrap up the 2009 regular season on Tuesday when they travel to Paxton, Mass. to take on Anna Maria College.
