Kenyon, Flynn headline All-Conference honors
BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott senior \#Caitlin Flynn\# (Southold, N.Y.) has been named The Commonwealth Coast Conference Player of the Year for a second-consecutive season, while head coach \#Jodi Kenyon\# was honored with her second TCCC Coach of the Year award, as announced by Conference Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye on Friday. The Gulls, who earned the overall No. 1 seed in the upcoming conference tournament, posted a 14-4 overall record in the regular season and a 12-1 mark in TCCC play.

Kenyon was awarded her second TCCC Coach of the Year award after guiding the Gulls to a fifth consecutive regular-season championship and a near-perfect 12-1 record in The Commonwealth Coast Conference. Endicott outscored its opponents at a 49-9 clip in the regular season and allowed just two goals against conference foes (45-2). The Gulls have the league’s highest-scoring offense and the league’s stingiest defense. An indicator of halftime coaching adjustments, Endicott outscored its TCCC counterparts at an amazing 28-0 rate in the second half of games in 2009.

\#Caitlin Flynn\# headlines a list of TCCC First Team selections as the senior notched a well-rounded nine goals and six assists for 24 points. Clearly one of the league’s most skilled players, Flynn tallied 20 of her 24 points against conference opponents and led the team with 77 shots and a share of the team-lead with four game-winners.

\#Colleen Pepin\# (Fairhaven, Mass.), a 2008 Honorable Mention honoree, played her way to First Team honors with a team-best 12 goals and five assists for 29 points. Pepin netted four game-winners during the regular season. She is joined on the first team by junior midfielder \#Kayla Plante\# (Sanford, Maine) and freshman defender \#Caitlin Peters\# (Salem, N.H.). Plante notched five goals for ten points in 18 games, while Peters has anchored the Endicott defense by playing every minute in 2009 for the league’s top-ranked defense.

The Gulls also added a pair of Honorable Mention recipients in graduate goalkeeper \#Amy Meuse\# (Saugus, Mass.) and defender \#Victoria Hunt\# (Cumberland, R.I.). Meuse, who rejoined the team on October 3rd, has not allowed a single goal in her eight games (six starts) played. She has 34 saves for a perfect 1.000 save percentage and a 0.00 goals against average in 674:18. Hunt, a junior defender for Cumberland, R.I., has helped anchor the league’s top-ranked defense this season as the Gulls have only allowed nine goals in 18 games. Meuse and Hunt have been instrumental in Endicott’s current consecutive minute’s scoreless streak, as the Gulls haven’t allowed a goal in 810:00 (longest active streak in the nation).

Endicott opens The Commonwealth Coast Conference postseason on Saturday as the Gulls host a Quarterfinal match-up against Nichols College at 1:00 p.m. in Beverly, Mass. The Gulls edged the Bison on the two teams’ only meeting of the season on October 3rd, 2009 in Beverly.
